One summer I was invited to live and work at Edward F. Albee’s artist residency in Montauk, NY. During that hot July I attended several art and society events which inspired this series of gestural portraits based on quick thumbnail sketches of the summer people of the Hamptons; a cross section of wealth, influence, and power in the United States of America.
